About The Doctor Sonu Kakar
Dr. Sonu Kakar, the founder of our practice, is a highly skilled and compassionate pediatric dentist dedicated to providing the highest quality of dental care for children. He attended the University of Virginia and received his Dental Degree from the School of Dentistry at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Following dental school, Dr. Kakar completed a Pediatric Dental Training program at the Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. His training involved treating pediatric patients under Nitrous Sedation, Conscious Sedation, and General Anesthesia in the hospital operating room. Dr. Sonu Kakar is a member of numerous dental organizations, including the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Kakar has many years of experience treating children of all ages and has a special interest in helping children with dental anxiety. He believes a positive dental experience is key to a lifelong commitment to oral health. He understands that every child is unique, and he takes the time to understand each patient’s individual needs. He creates a warm and welcoming environment that puts children at ease and makes them feel comfortable. He believes in educating parents and children about the importance of oral health and how to maintain it.

From preventative care to complex restorative treatments, he is dedicated to helping each child achieve optimal oral health. In addition to his clinical skills, Dr. Kakar is known for his gentle touch and ability to put children at ease. He enjoys working with children and is committed to making each visit to his office a positive experience for the whole family. He performs treatment under General Anesthesia at the Prince William Hospital in Manassas, Virginia.
When Dr. Kakar is not at the office, he enjoys watching movies, playing tennis and racquetball, and exploring new places through travel.
